Our vision is that children are enabled to develop their potential through nurturing, loving relationships and the support of skilled practitioners with evidence and theory-based play pedagogy, as well as a strong knowledge of child development and relational practice.
We will provide a service with inspired and inspiring staff who can connect with and fascinate children by using creativity. Practitioners will extend children’s interests and abilities particularly in language and literacy while building their social competence. Activities and experiences will be tailored to build curiosity and delight and enthuse children.
Practitioners will provide loving and reciprocal relationships focussing on and centred around attachment. All practitioners are aware of the importance of relational approaches and attachment theory and will use this knowledge when building relationships with families and build a culture of support and shared responsibility.
Our values are to embed citizenship and children’s rights across the curriculum and provide a holistic approach to working in partnership with our families and other professionals. We strive to create a climate where everyone feels valued and actively involved in the nursery community with strong leadership that supports and encourages improvement and change. It is our responsibility to create welcoming environments that reflect and support the diversity among the families in our care. An integral part of anti-bias curriculum is to teach children to be proud of themselves and their families. Teaching pride in ourselves and others makes children more grounded, more tolerant and more understanding.
-To provide support for all of our families based on need and not a normalisation agenda.
-To celebrate the differences in our community and learn from each other.
-To provide rich and glorious spaces for children to wallow and delight in. Understanding a child’s home and community culture is essential if we are to weave it into early years education.
- To support the development of educated, creative, happy and resilient children with all the life skills to become productive adults, and we will support them to reach their best potential. We pride ourselves on our family partnerships and relationships that we have with our parent’s, carers and extended families.
-To provide a pedagogy that is nurturing, adaptable, sensory and holistic, meeting the needs of our individual children and their families. To provide interactions that are sensitive as well as a service that is flexible, responsive and intentional.
- To provide a service that is led by skilled and knowledgeable practitioners who are reflective of their practice and pedagogy and are constantly reviewing how children learn and how we respond to children so that we can prepare them for a future that we cannot accurately predict.
